I am thrilled to hear the improvements that my customers and clients make through putting my Fuel Right Race Light ebook techniques into practice, utilizing a custom plan, and working one-on-one with me.  I’m inspired by them.  I know these athletes have put in a lot of time and hard work to meet their goals.  Here’s a sampling of their success:

Without a doubt Kelli has improved my cycling in a big way this season. Managed to loose 7kg of weight whilst still maintaining all the strength and power output I had previously, equating to around a 10% increase in power to weight ratio in a period of 3 months. Wow! And not only that I feel better both on and off the bike, have plenty of energy for work, and look forward to long endurance rides because of all the tasty food I get to eat! Thanks again Kelli for all your efforts! Highly recommended to all endurance athletes out there looking to get the edge on the competition. – Matty J.

After coming off a stress fracture, I was looking to get back into ultra-running shape and contacted Kelli. I got way more than I expected! A great nutrition coach who not only helped me understand food as fuel, but she provided great detailed guidance on my nutritional needs, including everything from my off/light training days to the hardest training days. She helped me create a tailored detailed fuel plans for race days. I am a much better ultra-runner after following the daily and race plan nutrition. Now, even over a year later – I am committed to her overall nutrition plan, it simply works. Even after putting in all the training miles, nutrition is by far the best edge I have when it comes to ultra-running! -Doug, Ultra-marathon runner

As an age group triathlete, I started working with Kelli after my coach’s recommendation. I had caught the “Tri Bug” about 2 years back and I had already dropped around 40 pounds just by training. But still I had a long way to go in order to become a faster and complete athlete. Eating and dieting for “performance” was what I needed and what turned out to be a huge difference. After a few and quick Q&A session with Kelli, she efficiently laid out a nutrition plan that focused on the two major components on an athlete’s life: Fueling and Nourishing your body in order to sustain your body trough hard training and help you achieve your performance goals. As I followed the plan, I learned so many things and realized how much waste I was fueling my body with. In just a 3 to 4 months period, not just me, but my family completed changed our eating habits and what is more important, enjoyed doing it as we saw results and never felt hungry or weak when training. Kelli made it so simple and she continuously kept in touch trying to answer any question that I might had. Now, Kelli’s book/guide is my reference for all my training, racing and resting days nutritional needs. I set new PRs for the Olympic distance triathlon and for the Half marathon twice. And looking for more to come by maintaining good eating and fueling habits and of course, training hard!!!!! Enjoy the ride to a better performance. Thanks Kelli!!!! -Angel, avid Triathlete

I started my coaching plan with Kelli to improve my overall nutrition and fueling at the beginning of my training season, and what a journey. In a period of 10 months I not only lost about 30 lb and 4 percent of body fat, but also with her extremely valuable weekly feedback I could keep my energy level high and stay on track. I consider myself quite fortunate to had a chance to work with her and I highly recommend her for those who are serious about seeing result and improvement. Thanks Kelli, Reza triathlete

My experience working with Kelli @ Apex Nutrition has been nothing but positive. Through the use of Kelli’s services, I have been able to make some key changes to the way I eat on a daily basis and I have lost several pounds as a result.  In addition to making better daily nutrition choices, Kelli has helped me dial-in my training & racing nutrition so that I have consistent energy on the bike.” -Dave B

Sorta felt like I owe you my success story (thx)…  I started racing last year after watching my sons first mountain bike race and feeling left out of the fun. We rode as a family and I was faster than my son and my nephews so figured I was in pretty good shape for 39 years old. Nope; I didn’t finish last but I was fairly close to it and boy did I feel bad. Oh my gosh, I’m out of shape 🙁   ….  5’7″ and 180lbs I could afford to lose some weight. Down loaded an app, and started counting calories to lose weight. I lost some weight but I never felt that was right for someone competing. I needed to lose weight while maintaining energy for racing. Searching for mountain biking info, I found MBR and heard your podcast. I looked up your web page and it was exactly what I was looking for! I lost weight, got healthier and moved up through the ranks, finishing the season 5th in points, 20lbs lighter, and feeling so much better during and after racing. This season:  A lazy offseason and I started off a little out shape and in a new category 40-49. A bit disappointed with a 4th place finish, kicked me into gear to get back on track. Working hard and fueled right, i have climbed to first in points this season. But a new problem arose, some races I felt great and some races I felt a bit sluggish. As my competitors used me as inspiration to get better and closed the gap, off days did not cut it. I realized my race day fueling wasn’t great. So thx to you I think I’ve gotten that under control now and after the win (feeling great), I have secured enough points to win the series with two races left. Thank you so much for your help. Things I have learned:  Food is fuel! The best fuel can make you faster all by itself, and bad fuel can make the fastest person slow. Ignoring your fuel, will cost you races! Thx for teaching me what good fuel is. – JR M.

Kelli Is The Best!

I contacted Kelli after listening to her podcast and thinking she might be able to help me. I went to her with 2 disparate goals: (1) develop ride nutrition and training to complete an ultra-endurance MTB for the first time in my life and (2) lose weight and become generally more healthy. I say disparate because she quickly taught me that daily nutrition and ride nutrition were nearly opposite in nature but that I could balance this and learn techniques to be more healthy and happy with my riding. In the end I dropped 35 lbs and met my stretch goal time in completing the SM100 in September, 2019 at age 50. Here is a portion of my email to Kelli following the event - I could not have done it without her!

"Kelli,
I am super excited to let you know that I did it!!! On Sunday I completed the Shenandoah Mountain 100 in 13:40:40, hitting my stretch goal to finish under 14 hours. My original target was 15:30 so this is a great accomplishment and I could not be more proud! My gps says 98.1 miles and 13,553’ of climbing.

My ride nutrition was dialed. I never once felt energy deficient beyond the expected general fatigue. My stomach behaved with only minor issues here and there that would seem unavoidable. I did start to cramp at the top of the 3rd climb (Hankey Mtn is the 2nd biggest and I’m told many folks cramp there), but with a long descent followed by pickle juice and Enduralytes at AS3 I was good to go the rest of the way.

I fully realize that I’m the one who ultimately put in the work. However, I’m fairly certain I wouldn’t have accomplished this without you. Your inputs into my ride and daily nutrition were essential. I lost 34lbs and 3” off my waist and that’s obviously tangible to my success. I am still working to understand the science behind what my body needs and when, but through your plan I was able to implement an approach that generally works and can continue to build from there. You’d be amazed at the number of people who have commented on my transformation. Even at a few of the AS’s I had friends say things like “wow, you look great... I guess I haven’t seen you in awhile.” I had great support from many, but you are at the core of my accomplishment. Thank you x1,000!

I am sore and very tired post ride, but a bit more functional than I expected. I didn’t get much sleep leading up to the race and I think that’s now become a big factor in addition to the energy outlay of the race itself. Overall I’m fine with no major issues and really few minor ones. I am currently 4 lbs heavier than pre-ride."

Kelli is simply the best and does a tremendous job in providing coaching and support, even when 1000's of miles away. You cannot do better for nutritional and training support! Thank you!!! 🙂

Changed My Life/Enhanced My Performance

I worked with Kelli for about a year and half and she truly helped me change my life and helped me along my path to some grandiose goals. I started working with her after I had somewhat plateaued at around 6'2" and 225 lbs. She took her time with me for the first couple weeks and analyzed how I had been eating and riding and then went forward and provided me with all the tools I needed to cut to a more athletic weight.

I followed her plan to a T, and was able to cut another 45 pounds. After this I continued to work with her and focused on training and race nutrition and how to manage eating cleanly and healthily while training hard. I capped my time off with her by winning and setting the record in my age group at the Silver State 508 self supported in my first go at it. We mutually decided to part ways after The 508 after we both determined I was in a good state to go out on my own. Kelli is an awesome person and a wonderful dietitian and health coach.

I would recommend her to anyone wanting to advance themselves past where riding dozens of hours a week can take you.

Achieve Your Goals!

Like a lot of the folks working with Kelli, I had been working with a cycling coach and making some progress but nothing like what happened when we added Kell and Apex to the mix.

I didn't go into this piecemeal with Kelli I heard her on a podcast and was so impressed that emailed her out of the blue about signing up for a full year of customized service. (in advance) Am I happy with the results?? Well that was 3 years ago and Kelli has helped me achieve so much I can't list them all here. A partial: I've Everested, 28 hours 29,029 ft. Won my age group in a 24 hour non-drafting ultra race, competed in and completed the 1500 mile Transatlantic Way ride in Ireland. Done many centuries and multi day 100 plus mile rides. All at over 50 years old and without a lot of bike talent.

How? A huge part is the 60+ pounds Kelli helped me take off my frame. Her system and philosophy are in my opinion the best if you want to train hard and long and still have energy to recover and do it again. But it is way more than that...it feels like Kelli is always cheering me on. Not in a rah rah way but in a "I know this is hard but you've got this in you" kind of way. For me that is huge. She is genuinely joyful in her client's success.

Read the book, do a bootcamp, listen to the podcasts or even better do like I did and work with Kelli on a personalized program. I can't imagine that you will be disappointed.

If you want to ask me more, Kelli is always welcome to give you my email address. I would welcome the opportunity to tell you more about how great my experience has been.

You Never Know Until You Ask!

Listened to every podcast and read everything that I could get my hands on. Thought I was eating lean and clean. Had resolved myself to the point where "this was as good as it was going to get". Not one to settle for status quo, talked to friends and they suggested to get "diet coach". I had a cycling coach already and thought why not.

Working with Kelli and following her guidance, she offered me a different perspective of how & when to eat. She also showed me the supplementation to support better health & performance, on & off the bike. I just participated in my annual physical and the doctor said "all the numbers are better than last year. Stay the course."

Most endurance athletes are about the "numbers" & if you are, here are the numbers - Starting in January (body weight @ 174 lbs, fat weight @ 28 lbs, FTP @ 159), with Kelli's support fast forward to June and I tipped the scales @ 162 lbs (18 lbs of fat) with a FTP of 191. Facts are facts! Though she didn't plan the physical work on the bike, the bike plan has stayed consistent over this period (3 days on the bike, 5-7 hours). When on the bike, feel stronger today, than when we started.

We are a few pounds away from our "goal" weight and I'm more confident than ever we will obtain the "goal". The changes Kelli presented me were not restrictive or boring, everything is in moderation. If you want someone that will listen to your goals and guide & support you in your efforts, Kelli is a person that you should engage.

Transform Yourself And Your Riding

Before working with Kelli, I struggled to have the energy and recover after my mountain bike rides. I'd always bonk about 2 hours in, and would always limp through the rest of the ride. My eating habits were all over the place.

Working with Kelli is the cheapest and best way to get on track with everything. We went through what I was looking for, my dietary restrictions, and how I was feeling on my rides. I've gone from 2 hour bonk rides, to pinning it for 3+ and feeling fresh afterwards. I'm recovering faster, I'm losing body fat without loss of strength/muscle. The best part is, my diet changed a little bit, but just got more focused. I've got a custom-fit formula depending on my days. If I've got a recovery day, I know what to do. If I'm working out or have a ride, I've got another really easy to follow plan.

I'm extremely pleased with my progress so far, and if you're on the fence, the cost-to-value ratio is so high, you'd be stupid not to work with Kelli.

Catalyst For Change ▲

I want to thank you for your service and wealth of knowledge. I am almost at my goal weight, I am feeling way better on the bike and feel better over all.

For me the weighed and measured approach with the proper nutrition has transformed my life from being out of balance and too lopsided toward work and rush rush rush, to what is important, and that is taking care of me. When I do this I enjoy my riding more and I am more present to my family and friends.

Thanks Kelli

Little Tweeaks That Made A Massive Difference

Getting to race weight while keeping the energy to train hard is a difficult task. Kelli identified what the issue was quickly and proposed a strategy that helped me achieve my racing goals. Kelli doesn’t shy away from taking the time to explain her philosophy and give you the tools to be successful. I have a new set of tools and knowledge that I’ll be using for the upcoming season. Thank you so much for everything.

Always Room To Improve

Although I eat pretty darn clean and have my racing nutrtition pretty dialed, I purchased the Custom Nutrition Plan and 1 addtional month of coaching. Let's just say that what I learned is going to me me 5% faster! Kelli tweaked my Daily Nutrition as well as my Training Nutrition every so slightly. And with that, I am meeting my goal weight as well as keeping my on the bike performance up to speed. I would highly recommend utilizing her skills to improve your daily life nutrition as well as performance nutrition.

Amazing Results

For about a year now, I have been following Kelli's advice on nutrition. I started by listening to all of her interviews on the Mountain Bike Radio podcast, and this led to great results at the end of a long 2016 race season. I race endurance and ultra endurance mountain bike events, so having good training and daily nutrition is absolutely key. Since there tends to be lots of climbing, reaching a lower body weight is also a crucial piece in the puzzle.

During the start of the 2017 season, I was struggling with reaching a race weight which allowed me to race at the level I wanted to. It seemed not matter how much training volume I could do, I was staying put 8-10 lbs heavier than I felt was a reasonable weight.

After trying many strategies to lose the excess weight, I finally reached out to Kelli for help. We started a 2 month coaching period, which began with a thorough examination of my nutrition history, identifying possible strategies to achieve the 'holy grail'; being light and strong.

Kelli immediately set out giving me an incredibly thorough, yet practical plan to help me achieve my goals. Throughout the process, she kept in communication with me, checking in on my progress, but more importantly how I felt in my training and racing. Her ability to prioritize performance over a number on the scale was something I had been missing.

Her plan is so practical, that I was progressing without much, if any major effort on my part. If anything I had to make sure to be eating a bit more food. Through coaching, I feel like Im eating normally, not creating huge deficits that I eventually end up going far over a day or two later.

After several months on the plan, I feel like I am far above and beyond any level I have been at in the past. I have had a string of great results, including a win at the Bailey Hundo. Since my training program has been the same, I have mainly the changes in nutrition that Kelli has given me to thank.

I suggest that anyone who wants to feel good and healthy throughout their day to day, and athletic lives to let Kelli lead the way!

Best Cycling Investment Ever.

Highest recommendation. Looking to spend massive amounts of money to shave 200 grams off your bike? Give Kelli your time and you will see it is some of the best money you have spent to improve your cycling.

Long time serious weekend warrior cyclist and mountain biker that has never quite been able to get training and nutrition right at the same time.

Downloaded and started adopting Kelli's nutrition practices about two years ago. This year I decided I was going to make a serious attempt at a sub-9 hour Leadville. As I was looking at what I would need to be successful, I knew I would need to optimize my body weight and improve my during event nutrition. In three months of coaching I am closing in on my target Leadville body weight and have learned a great deal about training nutrition. I have seen results. With Kelli's help I successfully qualified for the sub-9 corral at Leadville during the Austin Rattler. Training rides where I used to struggle, I have become one of the strongest riders. Why? Through Kelli's help I have learned a great deal about what it takes to fuel successfully. Her approach is simple and makes sense. She is a great coach and because of her own endurance event experience is a valuable source of information and insight into the challenges associated with endurance athletes and cycling.

Best Bike Year Ever!

A few years ago, I downloaded Apex Nutrition’s books and adopted many of Kelli's ideals/practices. I learned a ton about nutrition and how to fuel properly on the bike.

But, turning 50 earlier this year and signed up for a bunch of big cycling events, I felt I needed more personalized guidance to be sure I was on the right track. Signing up for a Custom Nutrition Plan with Kelli was definitely a good call! The thing I liked most is that she broke everything down and spelled it all out. There was absolutely no question what, when and how to eat; whether it was a training, rest or event day.

Kelli also helped me understand and adjust my daily caloric intake, proposed better breakfasts and lunches to help curb my snacking between meals and suggested lots of good whole/real food options for training and event days. During my time with her, I dropped several pounds and became noticeably stronger on the bike - exactly what I had hoped!

Kelli is an amazing person and resource, super responsive and really fun to work with. I was both motivated and inspired by her positive attitude and helpful nature!

I have worked with Kelli over the past 3 race seasons as I compete long-course triathlon. I had two goals when I began with Kelli; to hit race weight and to better educate myself on nutritional approaches as a female endurance athlete. I found Kelli to be an incredible resource for daily, training and racing nutrition and was able to give me specific guidance based on my body, my goals and my reality. I moved from not bonking to high performing and learned how to better fuel my body. I met my goals with Kelli and the funny thing is I keep coming back to work with her not because I haven't learned and self-educated but because I love working with Kelli! She has become part of my seasonal journey in preparation for some big races, holds me accountable and helps me get results.

Fuel Right

Being a 59 year old ultra-distance cyclist, I thought that I had a good grasp on my nutrition. But I started to experience some issues which included nausea, low energy, bonking and severe heartburn in the later parts of my rides. I talked with friends and scoured the internet looking for an answer, and also a promotion to a more sedentary position at work complicated issues with unwanted weight gain. After trying a myriad of diets, workouts, and concoctions I was at wits end. I heard a podcast that Kelli did on pre-ride smoothies and tried one and was very happy with the results. I listened to a few more podcast she did and then ordered her Fuel Right Race Light e-book. After reading the book and applying the principals I noticed an improvement. Having quite a few questions I decided to get a custom plan done. Kelli answered all of my questions and guided me through my daily and training nutrition. I learned quite a few new tips and tricks that have made a big difference. At the end of six months I no longer have any fueling issues, no heartburn or nausea and have sustained energy throughout my rides. I have also lost 25 lbs. which has been a bonus. I highly recommend getting in touch with Kelli and having her make you a custom plan to fit your needs or at least buy the e-book. It will be the best money you can spend on improving your rides.

No More Bonking!

I decided to work with Kelli after suffering through a season of not feeling well while mountain biking. I was bonking at unpredictable times despite fueling how I had always fueled (which had always worked). I was also not recovering as well as I had in the past, making it difficult for me to get as many rides in as I was accustomed to. Kelli really helped me dial in my fueling before, during and after my rides. Within two weeks I saw an immediate improvement in my energy levels on the bike and with my recovery. We then focused on my daily nutrition which I thought had always been pretty good. With some minor adjustments, I started to lose some pounds which helped me feel lighter on the bike which in turn helped my energy levels on the bike, especially on climbs. Working with Kelli has been one of the best investments I have made both on and off the bike. Kelli is very knowledgeable in her field and is just great to work with! I highly recommend Kelli!

Fast Improvements

I've been racing and training for 6 years, and have just recently decided to hire Kelli for some personal nutrition consulting. I'm very glad that I did. While she was working on a custom plan for myself, I had been reading through and trying to adopt the nutrition information within Fuel Right Race Light. Within 2 weeks of adhering to her information, I had lost some weight (2-3 lbs maybe, although I was not trying to lose anymore than that) and had noticed a big difference in energy levels and my stomach itself (I'd had some bloating issues and general fullness throughout the day). Her information is extremely straight forward, and it does not adhere to any fad diets or nutrition crazes.

Work with Kelli! At LEAST, buy her book and try it out.

Small Changes, Big Results.

Working with Kelli has proven to be one of the best investments I have made into improving as a competitive cyclist. After initially reading Kelli's book "Fuel Right, Race Light" my attention was drawn to some mistakes I was making with my nutrition, and began working on correcting some of the issues that were easy to tackle. With minimal effort, I realized measurable gains almost immediately in my performance, energy levels, and overall sense of well being. I decided to take it a step further and do some individual coaching and nutrition planning with Kelli, which has enabled me to precisely dial in my nutrition, both on and off the bike, helping me see even more dramatic improvements.

Already racing at an elite level, significant gains are hard to come by, but this has been an exception. I have long sought to go into race season already at my ideal race weight, and am happy to have achieved that with plenty of time to spare. Additionally, I've been able to do so while increasing muscle mass and power output levels across the board, significantly increasing my watts/kg, which unarguably translates into being faster, and the ability to sustain any given level of effort with less fatigue.

I would recommend working with Kelli & Apex Nutrition to anyone seeking improvements in their performance and overall health. With the right guidance, results are a lot easier to achieve than you may think, and that is exactly what you will find here.

Dialing In The Nutrition

I have been an avid mountain biker and racer for several years and decided to see what improvements could be made with my racing ability by taking a serious look at my nutrition. I consider myself to be a fairly "clean" eater, but while working with Kelli she really opened up my eyes to not only what to eat, but more importantly when to eat certain foods and when not to eat certain foods. Kelli has been extremely supportive, open to tangential conversations, and of course has endless knowledge backed by real life experiences that can lead anyone to a positive and successful result regardless of the reason and desire to improve ones nutritional goals. I highly recommend working with Kelli!!

I am a 43 year old man who is not in terrible shape but also not in the best of shape. I found her site doing a random search. I was looking for someone to create a meal plan for myself. I was looking for way to eat sensibly but with foods I enjoy too because I have such a limited palate. My goal was simply to start eating healthier, with the occasional cheat meal, and have various options so I wouldn't get bored eating the same thing over and over again. Well Kelli's program was able to achieve that for me. Her plan is VERY detailed and comprehensive. over the course of two weeks were able to tweak the plan, get advise and make sure that i was on the correct path to success. The ultimate bottom line is that it is up to you to implement the plan she set up for you but she sets up a sensible plan.

I first found out about you through the mountainbike radio podcast. I ordered your Fuel Right Race Light plan back in the spring. It finally brought everything I knew together in a way that makes sense and has made such a big difference in the way I fuel on my bike so that I don't bonk anymore.

In June I completed my first 50 mile mountain bike race. Thanks to your fueling tips it was a total success! The weather was in the upper 80's and a lot of people were suffering due to the heat. I had my nutrition all dialed in and really paid attention to the amount of water and sodium I would be consuming. Before I listened to you I never gave sodium much thought but I know it made a big difference on this race day. I ate every 30 minutes, alternating between a quarter of a pb &j sandwich and a Clif gel. I made sure to drink a liter of water every 10 miles (about 2 hours) which was the distance between aid stations. I used Skratch in my water because it had enough sodium but not too many calories, since I was getting those from the food. I didn't suffer at all during the race, in fact it was the best one for me all season and I think a big part of it was nutrition!

So thanks!!! Thanks for having such a sensible plan out there. You offer a lot of choices so I think anyone could and should use it. I've been telling my friends about it, but I feel like it's my secret weapon! Love listening to the podcasts too!!

I have several food intolerances and dietary restrictions so I contacted Kelli to ask if she could help me with daily nutrition. Kelli’s approach was uniquely different from other dieticians I’ve worked with and her emphasis on real foods and whole foods aligned perfectly with my dietary goals. Kelli’s reviewed my food journal and personal nutrition assessment to recommend new foods, eliminate or mitigate other foods, create several custom meal options and helped me navigate restaurant dining. The results were immediate and tangible. The coaching Kelli provided was invaluable - I didn’t need it for dietary compliance, but it afforded me the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback as I integrated dietary changes.

Kelli’s Fuel Right Race Light e book has been an invaluable resource for me to better understand daily nutrition and the importance of real foods and whole foods. The information is very well presented, easy to understand and comprehensive. I wanted to build a strong foundation for daily nutrition not only for an enhanced sense of well-being, but as an essential component of training nutrition once I’m able to resume training. At that point I’ll engage Kelli’s coaching services again to refine my training nutrition and maximize my performance potential.

Excellent Info!

I have been listening to the Apex Nutrition podcast on MTB Radio since the beginning and it is my favorite show on MTB Radio. Excellent information, covered in a very logical and entertaining manner and good specifics so you can implement the suggestions.

For example, I used the hydration and race fuel recommendations last summer to train for and compete in one of the NUE series races. In prior years I had run into cramping issues on every hundred I had done. Using the info from Apex Nutrition I was able to finish the 100 miler in under 7.5 hrs, riding SS with no cramping issues. That is a lot faster than I ever thought I could go and I attribute much of it to the help I got from the show.

The blog also has excellent info and I have relied upon it for a lot of great recipes.

Thanks Kelli for all the info you have provided and keep up the great work!

Fuel Right

When I was prepping for the Tour Divide, one of the world's toughest mountain bike races, I had a lot of help from many great people. All of them taught me a lot of things about health, fitness, mountain biking and mental preparedness but none so much as Kelli with Apex Nutrition.

I've been with Kelli now for over three years and during that time my thoughts on food have been transformed and enhanced. Now I'm not a slave to what I eat and can control my weight, perform at unbelievable levels of energy during a race and can feel confident about what I'm eating.

The greatest thing about Kelli is her detail responses to your questions. If you ask a question, you don't get a quick and hurried answer, it's always super detailed backed by science and research, not just some fad email that's being passed around.

If you're looking to lose weight, perform better in your races or just be healthier, this is the nutritionist to go with. I can't recommend her enough.

Great Resource!

I thought I was doing everything right, but I still wasn't reaching goal weight and I lacked energy for training. Kelli helped me figure out the best way to eat to support my goals. I have her e-book and also used her for coaching to get me on the right nutrition track. She has many ideas and recipes that are great for athletes, and my family loves them too. She is a great resource for nutrition info and is super knowledgeable about the latest nutrition trends and research in health, fitness and training. She provides lots of tools for athletes or anyone who wants to eat healthfully and nutritiously, and at a very affordable price, too! I love Kelli, her blog is one I read regularly.

Years Of Improvement

I have worked with Kelli and Apex for years, off and on, doing various things ranging from the initial nutritional analysis to training and coaching plans to recipes, really the entire gamut. I've learned so much from Kelli that it has revolutionized my eating habits and changed my life. She got me to the point where I could fuel intense athletic activities without thinking since I got it down to a routine, and she helped me reach goals I never thought I'd reach. Even when not working with her, I've become educated with food choices that her work is with me virtually every day when I choose to eat.

Lost 7 Kg While Improving Power

Without a doubt Kelli has improved my cycling in a big way this season. Managed to loose 7kg of weight whilst still maintaining all the strength and power output I had previously, equating to around a 10% increase in power to weight ratio in a period of 3 months. Wow! And not only that I feel better both on and off the bike, have plenty of energy for work, and look forward to long endurance rides because of all the tasty food I get to eat! Thanks again Kelli for all your efforts! Highly recommended to all endurance athletes out there looking to get the edge on the competition.

Riding Strong

It would be very remiss of me to not thank you for the fabulous impact you’ve made on my eating habits, which has had an unbelievable flow on effect to my training, and everyday energy levels.

I learnt so much from our time together and I smile inwardly when I’m out with other riders now on long hard training rides, and I stick to my fuelling and hydration strategies, and watch them slowly fade as the ride goes on

Apex Is My "Go To" For Fuel

I have been racing competitively on and off for a big chunk of my life. When I hit 30 I thought I would get serious about 10ks and half marathons. I ran my first "come back" years without fueling and completely blind to nutrition for endurance work and fueling during races.

I mentioned this to Kelli and that quick conversation was a game changer. I committed to Apex Nutrition's endurance coaching for 6 months as well as a custom plan. My race times steadily became faster and I always felt stronger during training and races. Then my big half marathon came back into a picture. I PRed from 1:41:14 to 1:36:13. I feel like Kelli's guidance was and still has a huge influence in my training and results. I continue to get faster and follow her posts for added insight and inspiration. Kelli does the work and is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to training, fueling and competing. I am a healthier, more efficient runner due to the guidance I have received from Apex. Nutrition and fueling is over looked and I feel like it is my edge to performing strong and feeling great about myself.

Fuel Right Blog Helps Fuel My Life.

We have been using recipes from Apex Nutrition's "Fuel Right Blog" for a few years now. My favorite and a staple in our house is the Peanut Butter Protein Power Cookie. Yum! While I have yet to try a recipe that I didn't like, my favorite part is that she also includes the nutritional facts of the ingredients in detail. She goes beyond the standard nutrition label and tells why it is good for you- often adding studies that back it up, and appropriate times to add it to your diet i.e. training, recovery, endurance etc. While we are not professional athletes, we do love to play outdoors and Apex has helped us stay fueled for our adventures!

  2. Nutrition issues during my races brought me to Kelli for help. I really appreciate her professional approach in listening to my issues before , during and after hard workouts and races. I’ve reached a stage of my racing where you have to pay attention to details like nutrition in order to compete at a high level. You’ve certainly helped me solve many of the issues I was experiencing. This is a lifestyle change that I’ve embraced and will continue to work at.
